Gyslain Boudreault and Jean-Guy Laframboise met in 1988 while both were working in the floor covering field. In 1998, they decided to become associates and launched Tapis J2G to offer floor coverings of various prices, top quality service, with no frills attached.

Gyslain and Jean-Guy inaugurated Tapis J2G in April 1998 in a small shop located at 1100 chemin de Montréal ouest, in Masson-Angers. Then in 2004, Tapis J2G moved to 1150 chemin de Montréal ouest in premises measuring 6,000 sq ft. and with a team of nine employees.

Tapis J2G also serves commercial clients. Many real estate contractors in the region purchase their floor coverings from Tapis J2G. The business also gained the confidence of many disaster and insurance companies.

Since 2006, Tapis J2G has supported la Maison de la famille in Buckingham with the magic Christmas tree. Every year, Tapis J2G invites the population to come and pick the name of a child on the magic Christmas tree and bring him or her a gift. A few days before Christmas, the whole Tapis J2G team organizes a party and every child receives a gift.
